Terms of Service
Effective October 11, 2026
This is an English translation for convenience. If it differs from the Japanese version, the Japanese version prevails.
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using Rakuda, the AI video editing service (the "Service") provided by Naoki Tamura ("we", "us"). Everyone who uses the Service ("you") agrees to these Terms by using it.
1. Scope
These Terms govern everything between you and us concerning the Service. The pricing page, the legal notice under the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions and other notices we publish on the Service form part of these Terms.
2. Accounts
- You use the Service through an account registered in the way we provide, and you give accurate information when you register.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe, and you may not let anyone else use, borrow or take over your account.
- Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
- If you are a minor, you need the consent of a parent or other legal guardian to use the Service and to make purchases.
3. Credits
- Credits are the unit used to run the Service's AI processing (transcription, editing, creating and rebuilding visuals, chatting with the AI, and so on).
- Credits are used according to the kind and amount of AI processing. We show an estimate of the credits needed before processing starts. If you stop processing part-way, the credits for the work done until then are used.
- Credits are granted free on sign-up, every month with a monthly plan, through credit purchases, and in other ways we set.
- Credits do not expire.
- Credits can only be used for the Service. They have no cash value, cannot be refunded, exchanged for money or other property, or transferred or lent to another account.
4. Monthly plans and automatic renewal
- A monthly plan runs for one month at a time from the day you subscribe and renews automatically on the same terms until you cancel.
- The first month is charged when you subscribe, then automatically on each monthly renewal date, to the payment method on file.
- A plan's credits are granted each time its payment is confirmed.
- Prices are those shown on the pricing page (tax included). We may change prices, and we will announce any change on the Service in advance.
5. Cancellation
- You can cancel a monthly plan at any time from Library › Credits & usage › Manage plan.
- After cancelling you are not charged again, and you can keep using the plan until the end of the period you paid for.
6. Refunds
Because the Service is digital content, purchases are in principle non-refundable and cannot be cancelled (including unused credits and credit packs). Cancelling a monthly plan part-way through a period does not give a pro-rated refund. We do refund duplicate or erroneous charges caused by us, and wherever the law requires it.
7. Your content
- You keep the rights to the audio, video, images, scripts, instructions and other data you upload or enter ("Your Content"). You also hold the rights to videos made with the Service, except for the parts in which we or third parties hold rights.
- You grant us, free of charge, permission to store, copy, process and analyse Your Content, and to send it to third-party AI services and other processors, to the extent needed to provide the Service.
- You confirm that you have the rights needed for Your Content and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
- Map data, images, sound effects, music and other third-party material the Service puts into videos remain subject to their providers' terms.
8. Prohibited conduct
When using the Service you may not:
- break the law or act against public order or morals;
- do anything connected with a crime;
- infringe copyright, trademarks, publicity or privacy rights, or any other right or interest of ours or of others;
- impersonate anyone or register false information;
- use the Service to defame others, promote discrimination or spread false information;
- put excessive load on the Service's servers or network, or otherwise interfere with its operation;
- access the Service without authorisation, reverse-engineer it, or access it in bulk by automated means;
- transfer, lend, sell or buy accounts or credits;
- do anything else we reasonably judge inappropriate.
9. AI output
- Transcripts, cuts, captions, diagrams and other output of the Service are made automatically by AI. We do not guarantee that they are accurate, complete or useful, or that they do not infringe third-party rights.
- Check every video yourself before you publish or use it; you use it at your own responsibility.
10. Changes, interruption and end of the Service
- We may change what the Service offers.
- We may interrupt all or part of the Service without notice for maintenance, failures, natural disasters or other force majeure, outages of outside services, or other unavoidable reasons.
- We may end the Service. If we do, we will announce it on the Service a reasonable time in advance.
11. Suspension and account removal
If you breach these Terms, or we reasonably judge your use of the Service inappropriate, we may suspend your use of the Service or delete your account without notice.
12. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
- We do not guarantee that the Service is free of defects in fact or in law (including safety, reliability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, security flaws, errors and bugs).
- Except where we act intentionally or with gross negligence, our liability for damage you suffer in connection with the Service is limited to direct and ordinary damage, up to the fees we received from you in the month in which the cause of the damage arose.
- The Service is not meant to store your original recordings or material files. Keep copies of anything important yourself.
13. Personal information
We handle your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms under Article 548-4 of the Civil Code of Japan. If we do, we will announce the new Terms and the date they take effect on the Service a reasonable time before that date.
15. Notices and contact
We send notices by posting them on the Service or by email to your registered address. For questions about the Service, write to team@hacozy.com.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance over any dispute between you and us concerning the Service.
